Today the interior minister Dr. Fred Matiangi affirmed the government’s commitment in ensuring all Kenyans are safe including school going children. This is after a spate of terrorist attacks in the North eastern counties the latest one being at Kimunye community centre in Garissa County where three teachers were killed and a pupil injured by suspected Al-Shaba millitia.

Matiangi said these at a high-level security meeting at Whitesands Hotel in Mombasa town. Among those who attended are principal secretary in the interior ministry Karanja Kibicho.
